01 — Overview

Your Data, Your Choice

At ReelCut, we believe you should have full control over your personal data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by sending us an email.

This page explains what data will be deleted, what may be retained for legal purposes, and how the process works.

✦ On-Device Data ReelCut is a template-based video editing app. All your photos, videos, and exported content are processed and stored locally on your device — they are never uploaded to our servers. This request only covers server-side account data.

02 — What Gets Deleted

Data We Remove

When you submit a data deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

Account Info

Your name, email address, and Google profile picture linked to your account.

Preferences

App settings, language preferences, and notification settings stored in Firebase.

Usage Analytics

Your identifiable usage data and interaction history collected via Firebase Analytics.

Advertising Profile

Any personalized advertising data linked to your account through Google AdMob.

03 — What May Be Retained

Limited Retention

Certain data may be retained for legitimate legal or operational reasons:

  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to your account.
  • Transaction records: Purchase and billing records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Legal obligations: Data required to comply with court orders, legal proceedings, or regulatory requirements.
⚠ Local Files Data deletion only affects server-side data. Photos, videos, and exported files on your device are not affected. You'll need to manually delete them from your device if desired.

04 — How to Request

Submitting Your Request

To request deletion of your data, send an email with the following details:

  1. Send an email to support@reelcut.in with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your ReelCut / Google Sign-In account.
  3. Optionally, include a brief reason for your request (this helps us improve).
  4. We will verify your identity and confirm the deletion within 5 business days.
✦ Verification For security, we may ask you to verify your identity by replying from the email address linked to your ReelCut account.

05 — Timeline

Deletion Timeline

Here's what to expect after submitting your request:

  • Day 1–5: We acknowledge your request and verify your identity.
  • Day 5–15: Your account data is queued for deletion from Firebase and our systems.
  • Day 15–30: All identifiable data is permanently purged from our servers and backups.

The entire process is completed within 30 calendar days of your verified request.
